ERE THE LAMP OF GOD WENT OUT
IN THE TEMPLE OF THE LORD
I Sam. 3:1-3 – “And
the child Samuel ministered unto the LORD before Eli. And the word of
the LORD was precious in those days; there was no open vision. And it
came to pass at that time, when Eli was laid down in his place, and his
eyes began to wax dim, that he could not see; And ere the lamp of God
went out in the temple of the LORD, where the ark of God was, and Samuel
was laid down to sleep.”
Eli's eyes have gone dim. The revelation of the Lord no longer shines in the temple. The lamp has gone out and there is no knowledge of God on the land. Oneness folks wonder they cant see any way forward. Apostolic folks wonder why there is no revival. Charismatic folks beg God for a move. All because our eyes have waxed dim.
When our eyes wax dim its because our lamp (spirit) has gone out. The light we had no longer leads a way to Jesus. We preach on blessings, money, prosperity and personal success knowing not that our eyes of many in the pews are closing because there is no fuel, no fire, no power no unction to set ablaze the wick that should be soaked in Holy Ghost oil.
Ere the lamp of God has gone out in Israel.
God, I want to be the wick in Israel that never goes out
I want to know the God who neither slumbers not sleeps
If he does not sleep neither should I
God cause me to awake a generation.
Declare today, " My lamp shall not go out neither shall by eye grow dim. I shall speak of Jesus and declare his wondrous works in the temple!"
