What Shepherd's have that Leaders Dont!
Take heed therefore unto yourselves and to all the flock of God, over which the Holy Ghost has made you overseers. (Acts 20:28). All shepherds are leaders but not all leaders have a shepherd's heart. A shepherd has the heart of God for a group, a nation or a people. A leader simply leads as he is a man. A shepherd has the call of God on his life. A leader simply leads, that's what all men do. Lead! Anyone can lead, but it takes a shepherd to lead the flock of God. God's people need a leader who leads like God. One who cares like God, one who shepherds them as the flock of God. The shepherd has the heart of a father because he has the spirit of a counselor, that's what our Father is. "Mighty, counselor, the everlasting Father" (Isaiah 9:6) True pastors are fathers, counsellor's.
