Response Able Preaching

We preach for results, we preach for a response. But underlying it all we preach to respond to God and his Ghost .Our message is a response to the leading of the Spirit. Secondly our preaching is in response to the moving of God among us, if there is pull of the Spirit in our meeting then we allow the pull to lead us us in our preaching. If the atmosphere is highly charged and folks are getting behind the preacher then, it can be good for the crowd but not so good for the preacher, so he has to be response-able, that is be the educator while he is being educated, he has to be the speaker while God is also speaking to him. He has to follow the momentum without being it! He has to educate while being the one who is being taught a lesson. He has to move with the flow yet not be oversome by it. He has to get into the flow without drowing himself. The atmosphere must not determime what he says and the organist determine his pace. The "amen" must not determine his shout and the hallelujah must not determine his halo! Nothing must move him but the WORD. This then is RESPONSE-ABLE preaching.

Breaking Limits by being You!

Jesus said, "verily I say unto you. Wheresover this gospel shall be preached throughout the whole world this also that she hath done shall be spoken of for a memorial of her" ( Mark 15:9)

Jesus commends what the apostles questioned. Her act brought her recognition. Judas knew the value of the ointment but he did not know the significance of it. Mary was charged with being extravagant, but that is what the Lord wants, extravagant worshipers. The disciples take the road familiar and so do those today who are men pleaser's but not God chasers.

Mary done the incredible thing, before anyone could stop her.

Friend of you are going to do anything for the Lord then do not consult flesh and blood. When God sent you into this earth he send a fresh man, a man who never existed before a man with a unique character to give a unique message to preach it with a unique anointing. You are not a copy of anything. There is nothing that can resemble you. So why preach like me if you are better, why copy me I you can do more, why take what's mine if yours is greater.  why sing my song if God has given his to you.

Today's church has too may copyists and not enough originals. Break your own box, sing your own revival. Preach your own style, be you! There's a prophesy only you can give forth there's a shout only you can resound, there's a song only you can sing. So don't get me to have church around your program. I may not fit in and neither will you. You just have to be you and in being you, then you can break forth that box, that limitation that custom, that program. Break it! That's where the anointing is its in the breaking forth.

So many churches are so organized and professional that God has no place to break anything. including he hardness of mans heart. Lets be careful, it may not be the preacher that leaves a memorial but the quiet Mary  who makes the break from whats traditional, careful and customary.

Prepare your Church for Revival

10 Signs of an Acts Style Revival

The book of Acts is our benchmark anything less is fake, man made and not of God! How can I say this, because its not my revival! Here then are 10 signs of revival as in Acts, like it should be.

1. Prayer by folks who are broken and dependent on God for his rightful place in their lives before a meeting, beginning at the altar before a meeting begins. (Acts 5:31).

2. Praise that's unrestricted, not manipulated, pumped up or forced by a leader but rather, comes from the presence of God. Prayers that don't originate from a prayer leader with a wish list but prayers that come from a pew sitter on fire with conviction (Acts 2:4. 12:5).

3. Humility, preachers having no desire to promote themselves or be the focal point of attention. A sense of God's glory and the fear of the Lord. The spirit of holiness and reverence without such no man can see the Lord. (Acts2:43).

4. Preaching that is anointed, timely and from God. If the preacher senses that God does not want him to preach he should indicate such. Another will speak or Holy Ghost will have his way. (Acts 2:14).

5. The manifestation of the spirit as souls touch heaven and speak as the spirit give them utterance. Prayer for the sick as the anointing comes upon the preacher. If God is working this will be followed by manifestations such as trembling, crying, holy ghost tongues, joy and glory.  (Acts 8:7).

6. A word of prophecy or tongue for interpretation or gift of tongues (1 Cor 12 &14).

7. Testimonies of God's power. (Acts 4:16).

8. The Preaching of Jesus, clear, uncomplicated and anointed. Often accompanied with sound doctrine that saturates, liberates and educates. (Acts 4:12).

9. Repentance followed immediately by baptism into the name of Jesus for the remission of sins (Acts 2:38). Including household salvation (Acts 16:33,34).

10. People receiving the Holy Ghost as the church gather round them to pray with them until the receive. with evidence of tongues tongues. signs and wonders through the laying on of hands (Acts 14;4).

Why REVIVAL?

Because the soul needs it?
Because its God's season of refreshing that comes from the presence of the Lord (Acts 3:19).
Because we need the Holy Ghost as served at Joel's bar (Joel 2:28).
Because a teacher can teach but only God can speak (1 Cor 2:13).
Because we need resurrection of dry bones (Ezekiel 37:4).
Because I have a passion for Pentecost at your house (Acts 2:38).
Because real revival is where we see signs and wonders as in Acts (Acts 2:2).
Because there are lame that must walk and there are blind that must see again (Matt 11:5).
Because God chose the foolishness of preaching to confound the wise (1 Cor 2:4).
Because God's time is NOW (2Cor 6:2).

Revival...Doing what's Required

What is required of thee young man.

Does the LORD take delight in thousands of rams, In ten thousand rivers of oil? Shall I present my firstborn for my rebellious acts, The fruit of my body for the sin of my soul? He has told you, O man, what is good; And what does the LORD require of you But to do justice, to love kindness, And to walk humbly with your God? (Micah 6:8).

Preparing to go to a weekend of meetings, its a small building, folks that are believers and love God, Fijian and Welsh, English. Looking forward to it. My brother was sharing his concern, "I want to do things professional you know!"  He said, that's admirable! It got me thinking. It's amazing how much time we spend on the unimportant things, the microphones, the speakers, the lectern, the projector. All these things are good, but are they the things that the Lord requires?

The things that we see as important are not really important at all, in fact we spend most of our money and time on the things that of no importance. God is not hindered if we have no projector, for if he visits us we wont be looking for a song to sing or a microphone to preach through. If God walks with us he advertise his own arrival. If he visits, half the town will show up without a notice in the paper or the radio or your web page.  If God himself showed up, he himself will be the will be the advert. Are you ready for the visit?

All depends on whose coming!

As for me I'm getting ready to walk with the Lord!

How about you?

Paul
